Volunteering During COVID-19: Current Issues and Learning for Recovery – FREE Peer Learning workshop

FREE Peer Learning Workshop:
Volunteering During COVID-19 – Current Issues and Learning for Recovery

Thursday 30 September 2021, 2pm–4pm, on Zoom

This FREE practical Peer Learning session will look at the findings of recent research conducted by the University of Kent and NCVO with 129 volunteer involving organisations in England in 2021. The research provides a snapshot of the current challenges and opportunities faced, and includes reflections on how to support volunteering as we move towards recovery.

During the session you will consider the four main themes for recovery identified by the research, and discuss and share ideas and plans for addressing these with other local Volunteer Managers. The themes are:

  • Bringing back volunteers
  • Sustaining the involvement of new volunteers
  • Volunteer diversity and inclusion
  • Collaboration and the importance of ‘local’

The session will be lead by Evelyn Rodrigues, Training and Best Practice Manager at Volunteer Centre Tower Hamlets.
