The Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector in North East London (NEL) is highly diverse and deeply rooted in communities. With 61% of organisations operating with annual incomes under £100,000 (State of the Sector report, 2025), these organisations bring distinctive strengths of trusted relationships, cultural understanding, flexibility and a focus on the social determinants of health.

The Equitable System Partnership Strategy, developed through consultation with VCFSE organisations, proposes a shift in how the VCFSE sector is engaged, funded and valued. To lever the sector’s skills and potential we call for seven pillars to be adopted and implemented and we will be working closely with partners to deliver this.
