Thursday 7 April / 6.00 to 7.30pm / Online via Zoom
Join this Panel Discussion to learn about the Intersection of Bisexuality and Mental Health! All LGBT+ people and allies welcome!
LGBT+ people overall are at significantly higher risk of experiencing common mental health problems than the general population – and within the LGBT+ community, people who identify as bisexual have significantly higher rates than their Lesbian and Gay counterparts. Why is that, and what can we do to change that situation?
In this session with Sian Jones (Co-Chair of London Bisexual Network), Lauren Steele (Tower Hamlets LGBT Community Forum at elop), and David Halliday (Community Suicide Prevention Hub at Mind in Tower Hamlets & Newham), we will discuss bi phobia and bi erasure, and the impact on the mental health experiences of bi people.
