Safeguarding Training

This session is aimed at supporting local partners to gain an understanding of what Safeguarding is and how important this is in support substance misuse specific services to help keep people as safe as possible.

The session is designed to be accessed by all staff from various community agencies and groups including:

  • Mental Health
  • Adult and Child Social Care
  • Housing
  • Probation/DIP/Community Safety
  • Hostels
  • Primary Care
  • Employment and Education Services
  • Local Community Groups

By the end of the workshop you will have some basic understanding of: 

  • What is safeguarding
  • How to recognise abuse
  • Key roles and responsibilities when supporting others
  • Legal framework and core principles associated with safeguarding adults and children
  • Adverse Childhood Experiences and cycles of abuse
  • Common safeguarding risks we encounter at RESET
  • How RESET actively safeguard and the importance of partnerships
  • How to refer individuals into treatment for support to help effectively safeguard in Tower Hamlets
