THCVS are working with LBTH to support the voluntary sector to support vulnerable adults at risk of harm with a safeguarding adults session. The session will be led by Sarah Murphy Senior Strategic Safeguarding Lead for Adults in Tower Hamlets Local Authority
Adults at risk of harm are sometimes referred to as a “vulnerable adults”.
They’re adults who are (or may be) in need of community care services – because of disability, age or illness – and are unable (or may be) unable to take care of themselves or protect themselves against significant harm or exploitation. This includes people who are temporarily in this position as well as those to whom it applies, long-term.
This session is targeted at your organisation if you work with adults and you would like an update on safeguarding and want to understand the system for reporting any concerns you may have.
The session is on 17th May between 10 – 11.30.
