RESET Family Support Service Training Presentation

Family Support Service – Monday 31st October 2022 1pm to 3pm

This session is aimed at supporting local partners to gain an understanding of what RESET do to support families and significant others and how important this is in the context of keeping people safe and achieving better recovery outcomes.

The session is designed to be accessed by all staff from various community agencies and groups including:

  • Mental Health
  • Adult and Child Social Care
  • Housing
  • Probation/DIP/Community Safety
  • Hostels
  • Primary Care
  • Employment and Education Services
  • Local Community Groups 

By the end of the presentation you will have some basic understanding of:

  • The impact of parental substance misuse upon children and families
  • Facts and figures associated with substance use and its effects on families
  • What RESET provide to help and other options for supporting families affected by substance use
  • Couples therapy and it’s benefits
  • First Steps support groups
  • MPACT support programme
  • Adverse Childhood Experiences and cycles of abuse
  • How we work with families in the context of safeguarding
  • How to refer individuals into treatment for support in Tower Hamlets
