Health and Wellbeing Forum

Health and Wellbeing Forum

Wednesday 30 March / 10.00am to 12.00pm

Join us for a conversation on developing a VCSE alliance for the ICS for North East London and the health and social care structures.

This is an online practical networking event, we recommend you join the session from a computer or tablet that allows you to participate in the activities.

This quarter’s health and wellbeing forum will build on the discussions we have been having about developing a VCSE alliance for the Integrated Care System for North East London and the health and social care structures in Tower Hamlets.

There is a lot of change taking place with the restructuring of the NHS at a system level. Especially with the Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) which are partnerships of health and care organisations that come together to plan and deliver joined-up services and to improve the health of people who live and work in their area.

THCVS has been working with the other boroughs in North East London and NAVCA who are leading on supporting the sector to design structures locally that will hopefully engage as many organisations in developing a response. We would like to share the experiences of how local organisations, have been working with the emerging ICS systems and at a borough level.

There will be presentations from organisations working at a system level and with Tower hamlets Together at a borough level and the primary care networks at the neighbourhood level. This will give you an opportunity to hear what has been working well and how we as borough-based organisations can ensure opportunities for the diverse community groups to be involved and structured to respond to the potential opportunities to influence decisions about the needs of the communities we serve.

The presenters will include Rethink Mental Illness who are working on a Mental health alliance, Women’s inclusion team on being part of a VCSE alliance working with the NHS , GP care group on working with PCNs and the Engagement team from NEL who will be able to answer your questions on the next steps

You might not see your organisation as working directly in health but we all have a link and would be able to contribute to the opportunities that will come from the priorities for the ICS are:

  • Employment
  • Mental health
  • Long term conditions
  • Children and young people
