About UK Black Pride
UK Black Pride is Europe’s largest celebration for African, Asian, Middle Eastern, Latin American and Caribbean-heritage LGBTQI+ people.
This year UK Black Pride event will take place in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in East London. There will be a range of performances by music artists, dancers and drag performers.
UK Black Pride was founded by Lady Phyll in 2005 and has grown year on year. The theme for this year’s event is POWER. You can find out more on their website: https://www.ukblackpride.org.uk/
About elop’s trip to UK Black Pride
Date: Sunday 14th August 2022
Where: Meeting point is Hackney Wick Overground Station – the volunteer will be holding an elop t-shirt & holding a sign so you can spot the group
Time: Meet at 1pm

Details:
Please meet us at 1pm at Hackney Wick Overground Station, White Post Lane E9 5LN.
We will then go into the UK Black Pride event as a group at 1.30pm. elop staff / volunteers will be with the group until 2.30pm at which point attendees are free to go off to enjoy the event and staff and volunteers will leave / attend the event outside of their elop role.
Attendees will be expected to make their own way to the event and make their own way home.
