This in-person session aims to create innovative and collaborative solutions to a HR issue or challenge facing one of ELBA’s Community Partners.Volunteers will work together in teams to break down the challenge, brainstorm ideas and support them to create an Action Plan of next steps to take away. HR areas that can be covered are:
- HR policies and procedures e.g. leave (adoption, parental, sickness, emergency), disciplinary procedures, grievance, health and safety, pay, contractors, retirement
- Flexible policies & implications for staff going forward
- Redundancies: how to do it properly; how to support remaining staff;
- Recruitment & hiring
- HR Handbooks
- Equality/equal opportunities statements
