Displaying Empathy and Compassion in Uncertain Times

Tuesday 23 November / 1.30 to 3.00pm

Tower Hamlets Community Education Provider Network (CEPN) are pleased to offer this 90min workshop on Empathy and Compassion. It has been testing times for all. We have all experienced significant pressures at work and at home compounded by social and economic stressors and uncertainties – that will likely present a population health burden for months and years to come. This session will introduce psychoeducation around empathy and mentalisation, and the neuroscience of safety, alongside practical skills for raising the levels of empathy and compassion even when you only have quite a short space of time to spend with someone. We will hear from people with lived experience of structural discrimination and difficulties accessing health and social welfare and facilitate a mix of information presenting and interactivity. Come and join this safe space to hear and discuss more on displaying empathy and compassion Register early as spaces are limited!
