The Workers Education Association (WEA) has been appointed to manage and administer the Skills for Londoners Community Outreach Programme on behalf of the Mayor of London.
The Mayor is committed to making the London adult education system more accessible. This will help all Londoners benefit from the opportunities this great city has to offer.
To address this, the Mayor has launched the Skills for Londoners Community Grants Programme.
The Mayor is offering grants between £5000 to £9000 for community groups for outreach activities to support Londoners most in need of adult education.
To be eligible for the programme, organisations must meet certain criteria:
- Are you a user-led London based community, voluntary, faith, cultural, grassroots organisation?
- Are you a registered charity, social enterprise or Community Interest Company that can demonstrate a track record of transparent financial accounting processes?
- Do you have an annual income under £250,000?
- Hold a UK bank account?
- Are you planning to work with any of the following groups? Disabled people, Older people (50+), People with English language needs, Black men especially those aged 19-24 and 50+, Pakistani and Bangladeshi women, Black women, or Individuals arriving on new visa schemes including, arrivals from Afghanistan, Hong Kong, and Ukraine.

Closing Deadline is 5pm 13th November with project start dates two weeks later. The Projects are expected to run through to Easter 2023.
