The Micro Internships programme connects your organisation with a student intern from Queen Mary University of London.
This is an experiential training programme that connects organisations with a Queen Mary student who will commit 40 hours of their time to a designated project. Spread over a set 5-week period, working hours are flexible to suit the host and student.
Students receive training on skills such as communication and time management and on how to add the experience on their CV upon completion. Projects are devised by the host organisation, with clear outputs and deliverables and relate to real Organisational needs. Example project themes include data analysis, fundraising research, report writing, marketing, financial and mathematical modelling and business development.
Previews hosts said:
“We are absolutely delighted with the work that the students are producing for us. They are so hard-working, motivated and self-directed and have contributed vastly to our project to improve Wikipedia entries on Black and Asian Irish history using our collections …”
