Apasen has been working with Tower Hamlets Council to address inequality and improve local community cohesion. Working in partnership with residents, the council, voluntary organisations we aim to reduce inequalities faced by disabled people, in order to improve everyday experiences and life chances for individuals and the community.
The Disabled People’s Network aims:
– To engage a network of local disabled people and Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) organisations in a variety of ways, including face to face meetings, in order to strengthen the voice, representation and participation of disabled residents and identify issues in the borough that have an impact on disabled people and to advocate for them and make their voice heard, taking action to tackle inequalities faced by them.
