The NHS Long Term Plan commits that every patient will have the right to be offered digital-first primary care by 2023/24. At the heart of this is digital technology, which is transforming the way patients communicate, plan and deliver care. With the increasing use of digital tools and solutions being used to improve operational processes and access to healthcare across North East London, there is a risk of the impact of digital exclusion on accessing healthcare increasing. To combat this, Digital Champions have been recruited to help better understand how digitally excluded patients can be supported to access digital NHS services within the North East London community.
Cynthia Adjekum has been appointed as the Digital Champion for Tower Hamlets. Her role will be to help better understand how digitally excluded patients and service users can be supported to access digital NHS services within the North East London community. This is a relatively new role and Cynthia would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to gain a better understanding of the challenges facing the community.
