Council launches new information and advice service – Tower Hamlets Connect

Tower Hamlets Council has launched a new integrated information and advice service that will run across health, social care, and social welfare.

Bringing a range of support services together in one place, it will also be the front door for adult social care. The service can support adult residents with health, social care and social welfare information and advice, including housing, welfare and benefits, consumer issues and general advocacy. This will include booking residents in for one to one appointment with advisors for advice and general advocacy in the community.

The service, which will include an online portal and help line (0300 303 6070), will make it easier for residents to access support and for support to be coordinated.

The service will be key in helping residents remain independent and healthy for longer by providing early help, better coordination of service delivery and a reduction in duplication across services.
