With the Cost of Living crisis really starting to bear down on people who are hard pressed, Swan Housing have invited the Illegal Money Lending Team to share their insight into ways that we can support those who are victims of illegal lending, otherwise known as Loan Sharking.
This session is for frontline staff and stakeholders who directly support residents as part of their role, and will help to raise awareness of the risks and signs of illegal lending, find out about ways that residents can be supported to get away from illegal lenders and who they can turn to for legitimate borrowing, such as Credit Unions.
Loan sharks prey on vulnerable people who are financially challenged, and cause misery and stress for people at their mercy – Help to reduce the risks to our residents.
