Every day a disabled person somewhere experiences a Disability Hate Crime, but it is not always recognised or reported. As part of National Hate Crime Awareness Week #NHCAW, Real has organised a workshop specifically focused towards disability hate crime. If you would like to learn more and raise awareness, join this online workshop in collaboration with the Metropolitan Police, Partnership & Prevention Hub on 12th October at 11:30am

What is it?

An online workshop to raise awareness of disability hate crime and what support is available.

  • Learn what disability hate crime is and how to report it
  • Understand and discuss how the police respond to hate crime
  • Know how to access support services

The workshop will be run by Real in collaboration with the Metropolitan Police, Partnership & Prevention Hub.

What is National Hate Crime awareness week?

National Hate Crime Awareness Week #NationalHCAW takes place from the 9th-17th October. It is “a national week of action across the UK which aims to encourage the authorities, key partners and communities affected by hate crime to work together to tackle local hate crime issues.”

Join us at this workshop to raise awareness of hate crime, learn how to report it and where to access support.
