Thursday 21 July / 6:30 to 8:30pm / 91 Commercial Street, E1 6LY
There has been a lot of discussion both nationally and locally around vaccine uptake and the inequalities and injustices different groups experience in their health.
THE LBTH Public Health Team want to explore the issue of trust in vaccines, trust in services more generally, and trust in the health communications received from services. They want to know what you think about trust in institutions, power dynamics, and what you think the impact has been of historical and structural racism. The conversation will be led by Prof Winston Morgan (Director of Impact & Innovation, Medicines Research Group) from the University of East London.
The content of the discussions will mainly be community led (depending on what is most important to you) but the general themes will include:
- How you felt that the Covid-19 vaccine was introduced to you
- How services have been unable to earn trust
- How health messaging is received and if it is trusted
- What do you want to see from services in order to start building a more equal relationship
Food and refreshments will be provided and as a thank you for your time and energy, they will be offering £15 vouchers which can be spent at a wide range of shops.
