Tower Hamlets Connection Coalition

One in ten people in Tower Hamlets feels lonely – and loneliness can take a serious toll on both body and mind. But no one should have to face it alone.

Over 300+ professionals from the voluntary sector, NHS, and Council have already joined our growing network to tackle loneliness and social isolation in Tower Hamlets. We would love for you to be part of it too.

Led by the Public Health Team at Tower Hamlets Council, the network helps you:

  • Get the latest data, resources, and insights on loneliness and social isolation.
  •  Learn about local services, programmes and initiatives.
  • Connect and collaborate with key players in the borough.

Whether you want to attend an event, sign up for training, or just download a resource, you’re free to dip in and out. No pressure – just a shared commitment to making Tower Hamlets a more connected place.

Just Say Hello Campaign

Connect with your community one hello at a time. Just say hallo logo in a white speech bubble. Photograph of a woman interacting with a child.

Tower Hamlets Council are be promoting services for residents aged 50+, in particular the Linkage Plus network.

They are encouraging any organisation working in the borough to join in our campaign. You could do so by:

  • Just Say Hello – small gesture, big impact.
  • Host a welcoming event –a cup of tea goes a long way.
  • Be inclusive – ensure everyone feels welcome. Free training available from the Good Practice Mentors.
  • Check in – especially with isolated residents (again we recommend the short, free, to the point on-line training from Good Practice Mentors).
  • Use #justsayhelloth on social media when running a social event for your beneficiaries.
  • Add your service to the Tower Hamlets Connect Directory.
  • Join the Tower Hamlets Connection Network by attending one of our events.
  • Download the Just Say Hello media Toolkit.
