Tuesday 6 September / 9.30am to 12:30pm
A half day course to encourage delegates to explore their own feelings and responses to abuse before refreshing their knowledge of the definition of abuse, its forms and indicators, and their role in the introduction to Care Act 2014, Tower Hamlets policies, and any other relevant Safeguarding legislation. Special emphasis to be placed on the need for reporting / whistle blowing.
At the end of the training participants will be able to:
- List the different forms of abuse can take
- Describe the main indicators of abuse
- Describe the introduction to Care Act 2014, Tower Hamlet’s policies and any other relevant safeguarding legislation, including the relevant flowcharts
- Explain appropriate ways to respond to cases of abuse
- Describe the Whistleblowing policy
