This event organised by BritBangla and OITIJ-JO Collective celebrating Bengali women and inspiring future generations for a sustainable tomorrow.
This event will open with a poem by Orin Begum (@orinspoems) ‘Inspirational Women of Bengal’ by Taryn Khanam BEM. Highlighting the Bengali female feminists, activists and shaped the modern Bengali: there will be a talk on Begum Rokeya, Sufia Kamal and other significant women from Bengal and their impact on the everyday lives of women in Bangladesh and the Bangladeshi diaspora today.
This will be followed by viewing the AJKER exhibition organised by the OITIJ-JO Collective.
Light refreshments will be available.
