Invitation: Become a GLA Warmer Homes Advocate to support vulnerable Londoners

South East London Community EnergyRetrofitworks and the Greater London Authority (GLA) are seeking to train and fund Warmer Home Advocates, trusted intermediaries to help vulnerable households make their homes more energy efficient by supporting their access to The Mayor of London’s Warmer Homes scheme.

For successful applicants, this programme offers £5000-£25000 toward a suite of home retrofit options – from insulation to heat pumps, heating systems to solar panels – designed to make each home more energy efficient. In our experience, the involvement of a trusted intermediary, such as yourselves, to handhold grant beneficiaries through the application and retrofit process increases both uptake and completion by the most vulnerable clients who would benefit the most from this programme.

We are inviting expressions of interest from organisations who:

  • are London-based
  • currently support low-income clients who either live in their own home or who privately rent OR engage private landlords with low income tenants
  • are able to dedicate half a day per week to support 20-35 clients through the process.
