Magic Me is an award-winning intergenerational arts charity. Based in Tower Hamlets for over 30 years, we run pioneering creative projects which connect older and younger people across East London. Led by professional artists, projects connect people across the age spectrum and participants through conversation and creativity, breaking down barriers and fostering understanding across communities. Our 2019 project Inside Out connected young adults in Waltham Forest with care home neighbours to present exciting artworks at an intergenerational festival day, hosted by the care home.
Magic Me are now recruiting young adult participants to join extra care scheme residents in Mile End this summer. Over 6 weeks the two generations will work with two professional artists to create work which will be exhibited in a celebratory community event.

- Wed 17 August, 1.30 – 3.30pm

- Make a change in their community; changing perceptions of care settings and of what older and younger people can achieve together
- Meet older neighbours, and collaborate with someone of a completely different generation
- Develop creative skills and confidence – whether you have no experience at all, or are an aspiring artist or facilitator
- Connect with their community
