About the Health and Wellbeing Forum (H&WBF)
The Health & Wellbeing Forum is a collaborative partnership among the third sector organisations in Tower Hamlets that aims to improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities for residents in the borough.
The forum aims both to empower communities to engage effectively in debate with health services - to enable statutory services and health professionals to hear, understand and respond adequately to the health needs of the communities, which the members of the forum meaningfully engage with and provide services to. The forum is managed by a steering group elected from its membership.
Representatives from third sector organisations in Tower Hamlets are welcome to attend and be a part of the forum. For more information or if you wish to become a forum member please contact Alison Robert at THCVS on 020 8980 8427
Next Meeting: Thursday 28th February 2019 at Professional Development Centre, Bethnal Green. More information and booking here.

THCVS, along with the CCG hosted a workshop which is being overseen by the Mental Health and Employment Coproduction Group. Focusing on personal care planning, the workshop explored some of the issues around this key agenda for the borough. You can read the notes from the meeting here
The next steps are:
• Summary presentation and working draft report for mental health employment co-production group
• Meeting of the recovery and wellbeing review co-production group on 28 August (this group has its own mailing list – this agenda covers the whole service but includes mental health employment support)
• Workshop to share the proposed new model, organised with THCVS on 12 September (9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Professional Development Centre)
Workshop places are limited but organisations are invited to send one representative to the workshop and can register here
The theme for our May Health and Wellbeing Forum was Mental Health, focusing on how we can work together across the lifecourse to support mental health, identify gaps in provision, and find out how other organisations are working with mental health.
