Peer Learning workshop: The latest research on volunteering (‘Time Well Spent’) and implications for your volunteer programme

Tuesday 25th June 2019, 1pm to 4.30pm BOOK HERE

‘Time Well Spent’ is a major new report into the volunteering experience published by NCVO in January 2019. It is the result of a national survey carried out through YouGov's panel with over 10,000 respondents, including data on recent volunteers, lapsed volunteers and non-volunteers.  It focuses on volunteering through groups, clubs and organisations. It aimed to better understand people’s experiences across the volunteer journey, consider what a quality volunteer experience looks like and explore how to better engage potential volunteers.

This practical workshop will look at key research findings, which will be presented by Shaun Delaney, Volunteering Development Manager at NCVO.  After the presentation we will look at the implications of the research for your volunteer programme, including designing volunteer roles, recruitment and marketing, support and supervision, retention, reward and recognition.
