Bromley by Bow is working in two programmes for young people who live in Tower Hamlets:

Building Positive Futures Together and its key aim alongside partners is to support young people who may be involved within or showing signs of following extremism and radicalisation routes. This is the introduction we’re using for promotion - Building Positive Futures Together training programme gives 16 to 25 year old the skills, confidence, self-esteem and knowledge to become more empowered to shape their future, develop more resilience and determination to move away from negative influences as they transition into adulthood.

On completion of this training all participants will gain a CYQ Level 1 Introduction to Lifestyle Management and accredited Basic First Aid awards.

Get Involved Community Activators. Get Involved Community Activator training will increase the work and training readiness of young people aged 16 to 21, and will be complemented with tailored wraparound support which will increase their life skills and address multiple or complex needs surrounding the participants health, wellbeing and confidence. The aim is for participants to become more emotionally, economically resilient, socially and physically active and reducing the risk of becoming involved within or revisiting criminal activities.

On completion, participants will have gained nationally recognised and accredited Central YMCA Level 2 Community Activator and accredited Basic First Aid qualifications.
