  at this free event to celebrate International Women's Day. In the first 
 of a programme of events and workshops\, leading up to COP26 Glasgow Clima
 te Talks\, we will hear from the authors of the UK Feminist Green New Deal
  policy paper. This event will be interactive with time for Q&amp\;As - we
  want to hear from you!\n\nThe set of ideas broadly known as a 'Green New 
 Deal' has a lot to say about the changes needed to tackle global inequalit
 y and climate catastrophe but\, it hasn't always considered how gender\, o
 r other forms of discrimination like race or class\, interact with the cli
 mate emergency in the UK.\n\nWen and The Women's Budget Group have publish
 ed a policy paper which outlines the key elements of what a Feminist Green
  New Deal would look like in the UK\, bringing a gender analysis to the Gr
 een New Deal and transitioning to a green economy.\n\nSpeakers include:\n\
 nDR SHERILYN MACGREGOR\, UNIVERSITY OF MANCHESTER\n\nCo-author of the Femi
 nist Green New Deal UK policy paper\, Sherilyn is an academic at The Unive
 rsity of Manchester whose research focuses on the relationship between fem
 inist and environmental politics. Sherilyn advocates an intersectional eco
 feminism for the 99% and explores what a just future could look like in th
 e face of climate emergency.\n\nMAEVE COHEN\, UNIVERSITY OF MANCHESTER\n\n
 Maeve is Director of Rethinking Economics and is currently studying for a 
 Masters in Political Economy at the University of Manchester and Co-author
  of the Feminist Green New Deal UK policy paper.  Maeve was a co-founder 
 of the Post-Crash Economics Society (PCES) at the University of Manchester
 . PCES went on to become one of the founding groups of Rethinking Economic
 s\, an international\, student-led campaign to reform economics education.
 \n\nROSHINI THAMOTHERAM\, CAMPAIGNS PROJECT COORDINATOR\, WEN\n\nRoshini i
 s Campaigns Project Coordinator at Wen. Roshini is the Campaigns Project C
 oordinator at Wen. She has a passion for social justice. Having been a cla
 ssroom teacher\, outdoor educator and activist with marginalised groups\, 
 she recently completed a MA in Race\, Media and Social Justice at Goldsmit
 hs University.\n\nSARA REIS\, HEAD OF RESEARCH &amp\; POLICY\, WOMEN'S BUD
 GET GROUP\n\nSara has a PhD in Politics from the University of Sheffield a
 nd previous experience in the rights of victims of crime\, women’s right
 s in the EU\, and the impact of migration on local areas in England. She j
 oined the Women’s Budget Group in 2017 and has been involved in various 
 projects including research on female poverty\, funding for the women’s 
 sector\, affordable housing\, economic circumstances of migrant women in t
 he UK and impact of Covid-19 on women in Coventry.\n\nThis interactive eve
 nt will be chaired by:\n\nZARINA AHMAD\, WEN ADVISER\n\nZarina Ahmad is a 
 climate change communicator and trainer with CEMVO Scotland\, a race-equal
 ity organisation and intermediary with Scottish government. She works to i
 ncrease the involvement and participation of ethnic minority groups in env
 ironmentalism and has worked for CEMVO for the last eight years.\n\nRead h
