 ou have been invited to join WAVE Trust for a multi-sector workshop target
 ed at Trauma-informed Champions.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIMPORTANT INFORMAT
 ION: All signees will be required to answer 3 questions during this Event
 brite sign up process. These questions will provide us with valuable infor
 mation to help us tailor the workshop sessions to your needs. Thank you in
  advance for your support.\n\n***\n\nThis session is part of a wider Traum
 a-informed training project\, through which WAVE Trust are also providing 
 training on 'Module A Understanding trauma' and 'Module B: Implementing tr
 auma-informed practice'. We require all Trauma-informed Champion workshop 
 trainees to have completed at least Module B first. Find dates for these s
 essions below:\n\n 	Module A (here)\n 	Module B (here)\n\nWhat is a Trauma
 -informed Champion?\n\nThough a trauma-informed culture should be supporte
 d by all staff members\, certain people may wish to play a more active rol
 e in sustaining the practice. They are the ones who:\n\n 	Think ‘trauma 
 first’\n 	Highlight trauma-related issues to colleagues\n 	Ensure this r
 emains on the agenda while the transformation is underway\n 	Support other
  staff who have questions about how to act in a trauma-informed way\n\nWe 
 call these staff ‘Trauma-informed Champions’.\n\nWhat does a Trauma-in
 formed Champion do?\n\nA Trauma-informed Champion supports their service i
 n whatever way they can to ensure they successfully adopt and maintain a t
 rauma-informed culture. Their role will often involve:\n\n 	Discussing tra
 uma-informed practice and sharing experiences with colleagues on a regular
  basis\n 	Highlighting areas that could require improvement and making sug
 gestions\n 	Role modelling trauma-informed practice for their colleagues\n
 \nThe role may also involve linking up with trauma-informed initiatives at
  other organisations\, leading on internal trauma-informed initiatives and
  supporting the internal culture in other ways\, for instance identifying 
 policy statements that should be revised to reflect trauma-informed practi
 ce.\n\nWhat will WAVE Trust’s Trauma-informed Champions workshop involve
 ?\n\nWAVE Trust’s workshop will be a two-way dialogue throughout. We wil
 l bring our knowledge of trauma-informed practice to the table alongside t
 he wealth of experience among participants in the room so that we may tack
 le the most pressing issues\, barriers and questions\, and arrive at sugge
 stions together. Please come along ready to engage and contribute.\n\nThro
 ugh this interactive engagement\, we will support Trauma-informed Champion
 s to form action plans on the following:\n\n 	Steps to take when getting s
 tarted\n 	Sustaining and supporting the culture change once underway\n 	En
 gaging the support of senior leadership\n 	Addressing key issues\, challen
 ges and barriers\n 	Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners\n\n
 What we will not be covering\n\nThis is NOT a refresher course on Trauma
 -informed practice. Participants must have attended at least WAVE’s Trau
 ma-informed Practice (Module B\, sign up here) training by the time they a
 ttend.\n\nIf you wish to attend\, but do not feel sufficiently confident y
 et in your grasp of Trauma-informed Practice\, please email Jarka Svitalsk

 rt’s workshop (16 March deadline for 30 March session\, and 30 May deadl
 ine for 13 June session) and we will endeavour to provide a group booster
