 uction to eating disorders and disordered eating in adults\, aiming to inc
 rease awareness and understanding.\n\nDelivered by a trainer with lived ex
 perience of eating disorders\, it provides insight into the challenges ass
 ociated with recovery and guidance on how to make sense of disordered eati
 ng and it’s function for the individual. The session is aimed broadly at
  anyone with an interest in learning more about these issues.\n\nThe follo
 wing topics are included in the session:\n\n• Grounding eating disorders
  in fact: addressing myths and misconceptions\n\n• The spectrum of eatin
 g behavior and eating disorder diagnoses\n\n• Understanding the function
  of an eating disorder\n\n• Weight stigma and its impact\n\n• Early in
 tervention and barriers to accessing support\n\n• Person-centered care a
 nd support: what you can do to help\n\nTrainer bio – Katharine Lazenby\n
 \nKatharine Lazenby is mental health expert by experience\, drawing on her
  lived experience of eating disorders\, psychiatric treatment and hospital
 ization. She is currently a Project Manager at East London NHS Foundation 
 Trust but has extensive experience as a mental health trainer within the p
 ublic sector\, educator and public speaker. As a visiting scholar at Londo
 n Southbank University\, she lectures on the lived experience of eating di
 sorders and psychologically informed environments. She sits on the board o
 f directors for the Design in Mental Health Network and has spoken at a nu
 mber of national conferences about her lived experience of mental health c
 are and recovery. She is passionate about the power and importance of cent
