SUMMARY:Training for Volunteer Managers: Dealing with Difficult Situations 
 with Volunteers
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday 25th October 2023\, 10.30am to 1pm\, FREE session on 
 Zoom\nDo you sometimes have to handle tricky or uncomfortable situations w
 ith your volunteers? Do you want to prevent or deal with problems more eff
 ectively? \nWhether your organisation has an established volunteer progra
 mme or is starting up\, this training is for you.\nThis practical training
  will cover:• Identifying common problem areas and considering underlyin
 g causes• How to prevent problems\, including what policies and procedur
 es to put in place• Practical approaches to dealing assertively with pro
 blems when they do happen\, including effective use of supervision session
 s• Preparing for and having difficult conversations• Making decisions 
 about when/whether/how to ask a volunteer to leave\nThis session is suitab
 le for experienced Volunteer Managers as well as those who are new to mana
 ging volunteers.\nPriority will be given to voluntary sector organisations
  with a base/office in Tower Hamlets\, or that have services aimed at Towe
 r Hamlets residents.\n*Cost:The session is FREE to voluntary sector and pu
 blic sector organisations with a base/office in Tower Hamlets\, or that ha
 ve services specifically aimed at Tower Hamlets residents.  However\, the
 re is a non-attendance charge of £50 and this charge will be invoiced to 
 your organisation if you do not attend without giving 48 hours’ notice. 
 There is no charge incurred if bookings are cancelled at least 48 hours pr
 ior to the start of the session.\nFor any organisation without a base or s
 ervices in Tower Hamlets\, or private sector/commercial organisations\, th
 e session costs £50 per person.  The fee is non-refundable\, unless you
