SUMMARY:Tower Hamlets 'Worrying About Money?' Leaflet Launch
DESCRIPTION:Monday 21 March / 11.00am to 12.00pm\n\nBased on learning from
  Scotland's A Menu for Change project\,  has been co-designed to help pe
 ople experiencing financial insecurity\, and those supporting them\, to ea
 sily identify and access appropriate financial support and advice. By help
 ing people access any existing financial entitlements and advice on income
  maximisation\, the hope is to reduce the need for emergency food aid.\n\n
 The Tower Hamlets ‘Worrying about money?’ leaflet is a step-by-step gu
 ide that:\n\n 	starts with the money problem situation/s someone might be 
 facing (Step1)\n 	explains the options available that could help (Step 2)\
 n 	includes contact information for local organisations that can directly 
 support people with these options (Step 3)\n\nThis launch event is an oppo
 rtunity for frontline workers and volunteers in Tower Hamlets to hear more
  about the new leaflet and how to use it. The event will highlight the typ
 es of support available and raise awareness about the services that can he
 lp someone facing financial crisis or money worries.\n\nWe will be welcomi
 ng representatives of partner organisations who have worked together to co
 -develop the leaflet to share their experiences and thoughts. They will re
 flect on why a cash first response to food insecurity is needed and how ac
 cess to appropriate money advice and support can help reduce the need for 
 charitable food aid.\n\nSpeakers will include Amy Wright of The Children's
  Society Coordinated Community Support programe\, Maria Marshall of the In
 dependent Food Aid Network\, Christina Ball of the Bow Foodbank\, Amy Bass
 i of Tower Hamlets Council and Councillor Mufeedah Bustin.\n\nWe hope that
  the roll-out of this resource in Tower Hamlets will be supported by futur
 e training sessions designed for food bank staff\, volunteers and other fr
