SUMMARY:The Zacchaeus Project - Working with older people and their carers
DESCRIPTION:The Zacchaeus Project is a social project of the Methodist
  Church in Tower Hamlets (MCTH) which works with older people and care
 rs\, offering advice\, support and activities to improve the quality of th
 eir lives and address gaps in local provision. The project is a joint com
 munity and church initiative which offers a safe and welcoming forum for m
 eeting\, sharing experiences and accessing emotional\, practical\, financi
 al\, educational\, recreational and health care support.\n\nProviding a ra
 nge of services developed as a result of direct feedback from members\, th
 e Project equips older people to make informed decisions for themselves. I
 t aims to empower socially or economically marginalised members to strengt
 hen their individual and collective voices. Anyone and everyone over 50 i
 s welcome.\n\nGrand Reopening at Bethnal Green - / Health &amp\; Wellbein
 g Launch Event!\n\nWednesday 4 May / 11.00am to 3.00pm / Bethnal Green Met
 hodist Church  - Come along and see how the project supports carers and
  people aged 50+. You will have an opportunity to join in activities and c
 omplementary therapy sessions. Blood pressure monitoring\, blood sugar te
 sting\, foot health and light refreshments will be available.\n\nFIND OUT
