SUMMARY:Taking Steps Together: Sponsored Streetwalk
DESCRIPTION:Join us to take steps together\, raising funds for women experi
 encing sexual exploitation.\n\nWe’ll be walking 12k through London after
  dark on Sat 20th November and asking people to sponsor our efforts\, as w
 e walk the streets in the footsteps of women experiencing violence and coe
 rcion. We’ll talk about their stories\, celebrate their courage and resi
 lience\, and by walking will raise awareness of the lives of women past an
 d present. Together we’ll take steps towards a future where sexual explo
 itation is history.\n\nBobbi is a woman who has been supported by Beyond t
 he Streets in 2021\, and she shared with us her experience:\n\n‘I wasn
 ’t ok. I felt sick\, I felt dirty\, I felt worthless and no matter how h
 ard I tried to carry on I knew I wasn’t living how I really wanted. But 
 I felt trapped. Who would employ me? Who would want me? Who would understa
 nd the mess I was in. Who would believe me? Who even cared?\n\nThankfully 
 a lot of people did. The story of how I got out was one of “escape” an
 d that would be a story for another time. For now\, I feel incredibly hono
 ured to have been supported by Beyond the Streets\, to find my voice.’\n
 \nJoin our Streetwalk to raise funds to support more women like Bobbi\, wh
 o desperately need to find a new future for themselves.\nJoin us because s
 exual exploitation happens in every community.\nJoin us because we must ta
