SUMMARY:Suicide Awareness and Prevention Training
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nThis 2-hour training is suitable for anyone working with 
 vulnerable clients or those interested in learning more about Suicide Prev
 ention.\n\nDelegates will learn practical skills to improve confidence to 
 provide support to someone who is feeling suicidal. The training will also
  highlight the importance of listening\, offers basic dos and don’ts\, a
 nd creates a rare and valuable opportunity to talk openly about suicide.\n
 \nAn understanding of the mental health drivers that can cause suicidal th
 oughts will be gained\, along with learning the ability to recognise the s
 igns that someone may be feeling suicidal early on. Finally\, the training
  will also provide people with the confidence to support other vulnerable 
 people and reduce the risk of a suicide attempt being made.\n\nThe learnin
 g outcomes achieved from this training are:\n\n 	Increased understanding o
 f suicide\n 	Skills to promote supportive communication\n 	Increased aware
 ness of the needs of a suicidal person\n 	Skills to effectively and confid
 ently support a person at risk of suicide\n 	Increased awareness of import
 ance of self-care for good mental health\n 	Strategies for building resili
 ence and increasing hope\n 	Increased knowledge of referral pathways\n 	Es
 sential practical knowledge\n 	Skills and confidence to support a person a
