SUMMARY:Self-Harm Awareness Workshop (online delivery)
DESCRIPTION:Friday 14th January 2022\, 1000 – 1200\nTuesday18th January
  2022\, 0930 – 1130\nThe session delivered by Psychological Approaches C
 IC and will provide participants with a trauma informed perspective of sel
 f-harm. An overview of how the roots of self-harm lie in the person’s at
 tachment history will offer participants a compassionate way to understand
  the behaviours\, and inform caring approaches for supporting clients.\n\n
 Learning outcomes include:\n\n•           Awareness of what is
  meant by self-harm and its relevance to mental health distress\n\n•  
          Awareness of the triggers which might cause someone to se
 lf-harm\n\n•           Awareness of stigma associated with sel
 f-harm\n\n•           Awareness of how to engage with and supp
 ort someone who may be self-harming or considering suicide\n\n•    
        Awareness of relational factors which may help to prevent of 
 self-harm\n\n•           Consideration of how family and frien
 ds may support people who self-harm\n\n•           Awareness o
 f support and treatment options available to individuals and families in r
 elation to self-harm\n\nWho can attend?\n\nAnybody who feels they need an 
 introduction training on Self Harm can attend. Failure to attend following
  booking will incur a DNA charge. Registrations are only possible online v
