SUMMARY:Safe Connections Suicide Prevention Helpline and Training
DESCRIPTION:Mind in North East London’s Safe Connections Suicide Preventi
 on Helpline is a warm and safe space to talk\, explore and work through s
 uicidal thoughts and feelings\, and help you find the right directions and
  support that you need. \n\nCall the helpline on 0300 561 0115\, or emai
 l safeconnections@mithn.org.uk.\n\nAlso\, there are new dates for the Saf
 e Connections Suicide Awareness and Prevention training session. This 2-h
 our training is suitable for anyone working with vulnerable clients or tho
 se interested in learning more about Suicide Prevention.\n\nDelegates will
  learn practical skills to improve confidence to provide support to someon
 e who is feeling suicidal. The training will also highlight the importance
  of listening\, offers basic dos and don’ts\, and creates a rare and val
 uable opportunity to talk openly about suicide. It is online and open to 
 everyone\, anyone\, in North East London.\n\nAn understanding of the menta
 l health drivers that can cause suicidal thoughts will be gained\, along w
 ith learning the ability to recognise the signs that someone may be feelin
 g suicidal early on. Finally\, the training will also provide people with 
 the confidence to support other vulnerable people and reduce the risk of a
  suicide attempt being made.\n\nThe learning outcomes achieved from this t
 raining are:\n\n 	Increased understanding of suicide\n 	Skills to promote 
 supportive communication\n 	Increased awareness of the needs of a suicidal
  person\n 	Skills to effectively and confidently support a person at risk 
 of suicide\n 	Increased awareness of importance of self-care for good ment
 al health\n 	Strategies for building resilience and increasing hope\n 	Inc
 reased knowledge of referral pathways\n 	Essential practical knowledge\n 	
 Skills and confidence to support a person at risk of suicide\n\nThe upcomi
