DESCRIPTION:Young women and girls are at risk of domestic abuse\, sexual vi
 olence and harassment on the streets and in their homes. We’re on a miss
 ion to make London a safe place for everyone.\n\nIn London\, the threat of
  violence against women and girls has been magnified. As we remember Sarah
  Everard\, Sabina Nessa\, Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman\, and the countl
 ess other women who have lost their lives to male violence\, it is vital t
 hat we come together to end violence and make sure every woman and girl is
  safe in our city.\n\nOur International Women’s Day event will put young
  women’s safety firmly back on the agenda\, coming together with other v
 ital organisations and changemakers to discuss how we can make London a sa

  Janjua (Host): Zara Janjua is a multi award-winning broadcaster\; a fami
 liar face on TV\, and voice on radio and podcasts. Her extensive career sp
 ans journalism\, comedy writing\, acting\, directing and business - she wa
 s appointed to the Equality Advisory Council at NatWest in 2021. She write
 s a weekly column for The Sun and regularly writes for national publicatio
 ns including The Guardian. Recently she was named one of the most talented
  up and coming women in the UK at the Women of The Future Awards and has b
 een recognised for her work as a philanthropic filmmaker.\n\n"It's such an
  honour to join Solace for International Women's Day 2022\, I am thrilled 
 to be hosting an event with so many brave and inspiring women. Every year 
 we mark the day by sharing stories and challenging the inequalities we fac
 e - this year we have been forced to address the growing threat of violenc
 e against women and girls in London. We are haunted by the rise in cases\,
  some have made headlines but too many women still suffer in silence. It's
  time to magnify their voices and put women's safety back on the agenda. "
  - Zara Janjua\n\nMaya Tutton\, Our Streets Now (Panellist): Maya Tutton
  is a leading campaigner\, speaker and writer on the issue of sexual haras
 sment in public spaces. As co-founder of Our Streets Now\, the nationwide 
 campaign tackling public sexual harassment\, Maya has spent years working 
 across policy\, education and media to make public spaces safer for women\
 , girls and marginalised groups. Alongside this campaigning\, Maya has car
 ried out research and published writing on the pervasive issue of sexual h
 arassment and how we might tackle it.\n\nAliyah Ali\, Daddyless Daughters 
 (Panellist): Aliyah Ali is a trauma informed trainer\, consultant\, speak
 er and the founder of The Daddyless Daughters Project CIC. Aliyah's turbul
 ent childhood and traumatic experiences led her to dedicating her career t
 o vulnerable girls and young women. Using over a decade worth of lived and
  professional experience\, Aliyah specialises in working with girls and yo
 ung women with complex needs who may have been affected by family breakdow
 n and are at high risk of being groomed and exploited both criminally and 
 sexually. Aliyah is passionate about providing brave spaces for profession
 als and practitioners to break any barriers they are facing with their ser
 vice delivery and maximise the impact we can all have in preventing groomi
