We w ill look at a wide range of good practice\, such as recruitment and outrea ch\, addressing barriers to volunteering\, encouraging people to be open a bout their mental health needs\, screening and matching them to the right roles\, supporting volunteers after they have started\, adapting to meet v olunteers needs and supporting staff and other volunteers.  We will hear from Richard Howlett\, Step Up Programme Manager at Volunteer Centre Hackn ey. Step Up is an innovative project that aims to support people with ment al health issues to access\, and sustain\, volunteering as part of their m ental health recovery.
