DESCRIPTION:New or Novel Psychoactive Substances – Monday 4th October 202
 1 1pm to 3pm\n\nThis session is aimed at supporting local partners to gain
  a basic understanding of what NPS are and what their use and dependency l
 ooks like\, it’s impact and associated risks\, physically\, mentally and
  socially. Alongside this\, we will identify and explore support options a
 vailable.\n\nThe session is designed to be accessed by all staff from vari
 ous community agencies and groups including:\n\n 	Mental Health\n 	Adult a
 nd Child Social Care\n 	Housing\n 	Probation/DIP/Community Safety\n 	Hoste
 ls\n 	Primary Care\n 	Employment and Education Services\n 	Local Communit
 y Groups\n\nBy the end of the workshop you will have some basic understand
 ing of:\n\n 	NPS and reasons for their use\n 	The signs of NPS use\, depen
 dency and withdrawal\n 	The physical\, psychological and social impact ass
 ociated with NPS use\n 	Legal considerations\n 	How problematic NPS use is
  treated\n 	What support options are available locally and nationally\n 	H
 ow to refer individuals into treatment for NPS related issues in Tower Ham
 lets\n\nPlaces are limited and colleagues are requested to register early
