DESCRIPTION:Wednesday 25 January 2023\, 10.30am to 1.00pm\, on Zoom \n\nTh
 is practical\, interactive\, online (Zoom) session will provide an overvie
 w of the essential aspects of managing volunteers or coordinating a volunt
 eering programme.  It is aimed both at staff who are fairly new to managi
 ng volunteers (or have not previously had any formal training) as well as 
 those who need a refresher. By the end of the course\, you will:\n\n 	und
 erstand the key principles of good practice in managing\, supporting and m
 otivating volunteers\, and have identified good practice at each key stage
  of a “volunteer journey” (eg enquiry\, application\, interview\, indu
 ction\, support and supervision\, exit) as well as in developing roles and
  managing risks.\n 	understand the policies and procedures you should have
  in place to recruit and safeguard volunteers\n 	know where to find practi
 cal support with volunteer management\n 	have identified actions that you 
 can take back to your organisation to improve how volunteers are managed.\
 n\nPriority will be given to voluntary sector organisations with a base/of
 fice in Tower Hamlets\, or that have services aimed at Tower Hamlets resid
 ents. * Cost: Our training programme is kindly subsidised by the London B
 orough of Tower Hamlets. The session is FREE to voluntary sector and publi
 c sector organisations with a base/office in Tower Hamlets\, or that have 
 services specifically aimed at Tower Hamlets residents.  However\, there 
 is a non-attendance charge if you do not attend without giving 48 hours’
  notice.  For any organisation without a base or services in Tower Hamlet
 s\, the session costs £50 per person. \n\nBook your place\n\n\n
