SUMMARY:Developing Safeguarding Policy and Procedures
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday 15th December 10am-12.30pm on Zoom\nThis workshop is 
 aimed at organisations developing or reviewing safeguarding policies\, pro
 cedures and practices for working with children and young people. Using th
 e NSPCC's safeguarding and child protection self-assessment tool\, we will
  cover what safeguarding policies an organisation may need and the implica
 tions of a policy for practice and procedures. There is time allocated in
  the workshop to consider organisations’ own policies and procedures.\n\
 nBy the end of this session participants will be able to:\n\n 	identify wh
 at their organisation needs to consider to keep children and young people 
 safe\n 	understand the link between policies\, practices and safeguarding 
 procedures\n 	know about the resources available for voluntary and communi
 ty sector organisations\n 	understand the use of a self-assessment tool in
  keeping up-to-date with safeguarding procedures\n 	understand terminology
  used in safeguarding\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nIt will be useful for participants to 
 have a basic level of understanding of child protection. We will ask you t
 o complete a brief pre-course questionnaire so that the training can be ta
 ilored to participants’ needs.  There will be time allocated in the tra
 ining for you to consider your organisation’s own policies and procedure
