SUMMARY:Developing Safeguarding Policy and Procedures
DESCRIPTION:Thursday 16 March / 10am-12.30pm / on Zoom\nThis workshop is ai
 med at organisations developing or reviewing safeguarding policies\, proc
 edures and practices for working with children and young people. Using the
  NSPCC's safeguarding and child protection self-assessment tool\, we will 
 cover what safeguarding policies an organisation may need and the implicat
 ions of a policy for practice and procedures. By the end of this session 
 participants will be able to:\n\n 	identify what their organisation needs 
 to consider to keep children and young people safe\n 	understand the link 
 between policies\, practices and safeguarding procedures\n 	know about the
  resources available for voluntary and community sector organisations\n 	u
 nderstand the use of a self-assessment tool in keeping up-to-date with saf
 eguarding procedures\n 	understand terminology used in safeguarding\n\nIt 
 will be useful for participants to have a basic level of understanding of 
 child protection. We will ask you to complete a brief pre-course questionn
 aire so that the training can be tailored to participants’ needs.  Ther
 e will be time allocated in the training for you to consider your organisa
