 ing Hub in collaboration with the North East London Health and Care Partne
 rship are delighted to offer this funded course for all staff based in and
  around NEL. This course will allow the space for participants to have ope
 n conversations about self-harm\, including unpacking our own feelings and
   attitudes around self-harm (including thinking about our own faith\, be
 liefs\, life experience) and acknowledge them so that we are informed of h
 ow they may present and impact the support we provide.\nThe course covers 
 the below topics:\n\n\n 	\nWhat is self-harm?\n\n 	\nWhy do people engage 
 in self-harm?\n\n 	\nWhat do people who self-harm say about self-harm?\n\n
  	\nBarriers – Why can asking for help be difficult?\n\n 	\nBarriers –
  Why may supporting someone be difficult?\n\n 	\nBarriers – How can we o
 vercome these barriers?\n\n 	\nStigma and self-harm\n\n 	\nMyths around se
 lf-harm\n\n 	Prevalence\n 	Risk factors\n 	Harm-reduction\n 	Supporting pe
 ople who self-harm – what’s helpful?\n\nWho can attend?\nAnybody who f
 eels they need an introduction training on Self-Harm can attend\nHow will 
 the training be delivered?\nAll sessions are delivered virtually. Delivery
  format will be a mixed of lecture format and interactivity.\nPlease use t
