 n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe North East London Training Hub in collaboration with the 
 North East London Health and Care Partnership are delighted to offer this 
 funded course for all staff based in and around NEL. This course will allo
 w the space for participants to have open conversations about self-harm\, 
 including unpacking our own feelings and  attitudes around self-harm (inc
 luding thinking about our own faith\, beliefs\, life experience) and ackno
 wledge them so that we are informed of how they may present and impact the
  support we provide.\nThe course covers the below topics:\n\n\n 	\nWhat is
  self-harm?\n\n 	\nWhy do people engage in self-harm?\n\n 	\nWhat do peopl
 e who self-harm say about self-harm?\n\n 	\nBarriers – Why can asking fo
 r help be difficult?\n\n 	\nBarriers – Why may supporting someone be dif
 ficult?\n\n 	\nBarriers – How can we overcome these barriers?\n\n 	\nSti
 gma and self-harm\n\n 	\nMyths around self-harm\n\n 	Prevalence\n 	Risk fa
 ctors\n 	Harm-reduction\n 	Supporting people who self-harm – what’s he
 lpful?\n\nWho can attend?\nAnybody who feels they need an introduction tra
 ining on Self-Harm can attend\nHow will the training be delivered?\nAll se
 ssions are delivered virtually. Delivery format will be a mixed of lecture
