 rtnership are delighted to offer this funded course for all staff based in
  and around NEL. This course will allow the space for participants to have
  open conversations about self-harm\, including unpacking our own feelings
  and  attitudes around self-harm (including thinking about our own faith\
 , beliefs\, life experience) and acknowledge them so that we are informed 
 of how they may present and impact the support we provide.\nThe course cov
 ers the below topics:\n\n\n 	\nWhat is self-harm?\n\n 	\nWhy do people eng
 age in self-harm?\n\n 	\nWhat do people who self-harm say about self-harm?
 \n\n 	\nBarriers – Why can asking for help be difficult?\n\n 	\nBarriers
  – Why may supporting someone be difficult?\n\n 	\nBarriers – How can 
 we overcome these barriers?\n\n 	\nStigma and self-harm\n\n 	\nMyths aroun
 d self-harm\n\n 	Prevalence\n 	Risk factors\n 	Harm-reduction\n 	Supportin
