DESCRIPTION:Alcohol – Monday 21st February 2022 1pm to 3pm\n This sessio
 n is aimed at supporting local partners to gain an understanding of what p
 roblematic alcohol use looks like\, it’s impact and associated risks\, p
 hysically\, mentally and socially. Alongside this\, we will identify and e
 xplore support options available.\nThe session is designed to be accessed 
 by all staff from various community agencies and groups including:\n\n\n 	
 Mental Health\n 	Adult and Child Social Care\n 	Housing\n 	Probation/DIP/C
 ommunity Safety\n 	Hostels\n 	Primary Care\n 	Employment and Education Se
 rvices\n 	Local Community Groups \n\nBy the end of the workshop you will 
 have some basic understanding of:\n\n\n 	Alcohol and reasons for its use\n
  	The difference between normal\, hazardous and harmful drinking\n 	The si
 gns of alcohol dependency and alcohol withdrawal\n 	The physical\, psychol
 ogical and social effects associated with alcohol\n 	What support options 
 are available locally and nationally\n 	How to refer individuals into trea
 tment for alcohol related issues in Tower Hamlets\n\nPlaces are limited an
