This quarters Health and Wellbeing forum has an exciting agenda on Mental Health and Wellbeing. You will find out how the voluntary sector is working with people across the borough, explore how you can get involved with the work in the Local Authority and CCG supporting residents on Mental Health and wellbeing, get an update on commissioning and network to strengthen your organisations offer.

The Health & Wellbeing Forum is a collaborative partnership among the third sector organisations in Tower Hamlets that aims to improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities for residents in the borough. The meeting aim both to empower communities to engage effectively in the debate with the health and social care services and engage statutory services and health professionals, to enable them to hear, understand and respond adequately to the health needs of the communities.

The forum will have presentations from:

  • CCG commissioner on the strategy and mental health commissioning
  • Public health on the loneliness strategy
  • Suicide prevention programme
  • Talking therapies
  • Mapping exercise completed by QMUL students

With the opportunity to hear how VCSE services are responding to the priorities. These include:

  • Bowhaven
  • Women’s trust
  • Bangladeshi  Mental Health Forum

There will be a workshop discussion on how the system impacts on people needing to access services and how the sector can respond to the challenges.

We hope you will be able to join us and take part in the discussions. If you would like any further information please contact Alison.robert@thcvs.org.uk
