THCVS has identified a need to support women in leadership positions in not for profit organisations to build their skills and confidence to support their organisations to develop and their ability to personally develop.

THCVS have been working with a Steering Group(with representatives from 3 voluntary sector organisations working with Bangladeshi and Somali communities, the local authority and an independent consultant). The Steering Group developed a questionnaire to run online and held individual interviews with women in different settings.

Finding from the survey showed that there is an interest in a Women in Leadership programme to support personal development and organisational growth in the not for profit sector.

In order to further strengthen our findings, and test out people’s reactions to the potential programme of events and mentoring opportunities, this forum will welcome presentations from:

  • Black Women’s Training Group
  • Women in the City
  • Other local women leaders
  • The opportunity to share ideas and network

The forum is open to all - for further information on the panel, or if you would like to get involved email Alison.robert@thcvs.org.uk
