We would like to invite you to take part in this piece of work at an event that will enable you to shape the future model of Recovery and Wellbeing provision. We would like to give the wider provider market an opportunity to contribute to the model in addition to sharing information that we have gathered to date and that we will use to shape specifications.

The Local Authority and the CCG currently commission the Recovery and Wellbeing Service (RWS) and the Recovery College to support wellbeing and recovery through the provision of positive social, educational and personal development opportunities for people with mental health problems. The RWS is currently delivered by a consortium of eight third sector mental health providers and provides a first point of access service, short and long term support planning, group work and an employment hub. The Recovery College is provided by ELFT and uses an educational model to support recovery and wellbeing.  The contracts for these services will expire in July 2019 and a review is underway as to shape their future model.

The CCG and LA are taking a co-productive approach to the remodelling of these services. A group of stakeholders was identified from a scoping exercise undertaken at the Tower Hamlets Mental Health Partnership Board which includes representatives of different service user groups, community representatives, clinicians and professionals. Workshops with these stakeholders are currently taking place to identify what is currently working, what needs improvement and what people would like the services to achieve. A peer research project will enable the seldom heard to contribute and individual workshops are being run around specific topics such as social enterprise. This coproduction exercise is expected to result in recommendations that will affect a future model of service.
